Eligibility

  • Open to [members of the Society of Software Engineers / students at California State University Northridge]
  • Teams of 4–6 people; each person may be on one team only

Project Rules

  • All code must be written during the hackathon period ([October 12] – [October 23]). Pre-planning and ideation is fine.
  • Open-source libraries, public APIs, and frameworks are allowed. Credit them in your submission.
  • Projects must fit the “Small Build; Huge Ripple!” theme.
  • Late submissions will not be accepted.

Judging
Projects will be judged on:

  • Impact — does it meaningfully help a real group of people?
  • Execution — does it work and is it polished for its scope?
  • Focus — is it a small, well-scoped tool rather than an unfinished giant?
  • Presentation — is the demo clear and compelling?

Judges’ decisions are final.
